Dana is a reed player, playing everything from clarinet to three saxes (soprano, alto and tenor). He is musically proficient in every genre of music from classical repertoire to jazz to Broadway to R&B to pop to standards to sacred (all styles from classical to mainstream liturgical to contemporary Christian to gospel). He has been a lead sax player in several Twin Cities big bands, was on-call for the History Theater’s musical productions, is a pit musician in many other theater productions, and can be found on any given Sunday playing in church with Martha. Oh, and he’s available for your special events where you might have need for a featured artist or substitute reed man!

Martha is a pianist, with a special place in her heart for accompanying (she loves collaborating with Dana and lots of other musicians). She is very comfortable in a wide range of musical styles, from classical repertoire to standards to Broadway to pop to all things sacred, and she loves throwing in jazz as a surprise. She’s been seen around town and country in everything from playing a Joann Castle-style ragtime feature with a band, playing a Victor Borge-style piano duo comedy, playing gospel piano accompaniments for an old-fashioned hymn sing, helping high school students understand what playing in a music theater pit rhythm section is supposed to go like, to accompany a male chorus that specializes in black gospel style, to sightread newly composed hand-sketched music with one rehearsal before performance, playing dinner music in restaurants and cocktail music in clubs…. She simply loves to make music and it shows! Oh, and she’s available for all of your special events where you need a substitute pianist or an accompanist for a featured artist!
